OPENING CEREMONY OF THE DOUBLE DEGREE PROGRAM ITSM

Jember, 05 May 2023 The opening ceremony for the double degree program. Students from the Institute of Technology and Saints Mandala will start a double degree program at the International Education Shaanxi Polytechnic Institute (SXPI)

Rector of the Mandala Institute of Technology and Science, Dr. Suwignyo Widagdo, S.E., M.M., M.P. explained that; The Double Degree Program that is currently collaborating with SXPI is one of the implementations of the MoU that we signed at the end of 2018. on this occasion we proposed 20 (twenty) students to take part in the learning program at SXPI for 3 (three) semesters.

For the Mandala Institute of Technology and Science, this program is certainly intended as an effort to support the achievement of our institution’s vision to produce graduates who are competitive both at the national and international levels. In addition to gaining knowledge in terms of cross-cultural academics so that our graduates are more competitive.

The Double Degree itself is a program that will give us new opportunities, opportunities and experiences that are not limited to students outside our campus. It will be a good springboard to achieve the future we want, a new challenge where we will learn other people’s culture, language and customs with new people from all over the world.

The international credit transfer program in Indonesia is a form of implementation of the MBKM (Merdeka Learning Kamus Merdeka) program initiated by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology of the Republic of Indonesia.

The Double Degree program is a combined study program leading to two university degrees in parallel, either at the same institution or at different institutions, sometimes in different countries. Dual degree programs usually reduce the amount of time needed to complete the two degrees separately. In addition, this program also provides opportunities for students to improve themselves and their knowledge and gain new relationships around the world.

One of the student participants, Chintya Septian Restu said: “I am happy to be part of this program, I and several participants here have also participated in International Credit Transfer at Shaanxi Polytechnic Institute last semester. Furthermore Chintya also explained that the international program that has provided the best and most memorable experience is the winter camp activity that we have done in several other countries. Where we were given experience about the beauty of culture in China and we also exchanged experiences about culture from several other countries.

Furthermore, Monica, one of the participants, also explained that several programs to gain new international experience apart from double degrees were credit transfer programs, and there was also a summer camp which was an extraordinary experience, even with the limitations of the lectures we got. only done online through zoom meetings, but many ways are provided so that we can still feel how extraordinary the lectures at Shaanxi Polytechnic Institute are.

Mr Qing Jingjun, dean of International Education at the Shaanxi Polytechnic Institute (SXPI) is also very proud to be working with Indonesia, especially ITSM because the students are creative, bright, and look forward to collaboration.

ITSM and SXPI – China. SXPI is one of the best tertiary institutions in China, ranked 13th out of 100 vocational colleges in China. ITSM have collaborated since 2017 and this collaboration has been implemented by sending two STIE Mandala students in the Double Degree program in 2019.

SXPI is located in Xianyang, a city with a history of more than 2,350 years and famous for its rich culture, this city was the capital of China’s first Empire. Shaanxi Polytechnic Institute is 25 kilometers from Xi’an Provincial Capital and about 15 kilometers north of Xi’an-Xianyang airport. The hotel is adjacent to the Lianyungang-Lanzhou Railway Line and the Zhengzhou-Xi Passenger Railway Line. Founded in 1950, SXPI provides 3-year college degrees to 18,500 students on its campus (http://en.sxpi.edu.cn/AboutUs/Welcome.htm).

SXPI provides 63 specializations including Equipment Manufacturing, Electronics & Electrical, Mechanical Engineering, Information Technology, Business, Public Services, Automotive, Logistics, Civil Works, Textiles and Apparel Arts. With technique as its mainstay. SXPI also seeks to balance subjects across economics, administration, liberal arts, foreign language learning, and fine arts. SXPI has been identified as the best college by the Ministry of Education and the government of Shaanxi because of its well-developed specialization.

Covering an area of 43.33 hectares, SXPI has a comprehensive state-of-the-art technical training center and more than 100 well-equipped training centers both on and off campus and two at the national level and four at the provincial level. This training center provides opportunities for students to practice professional skills and undertake theoretical studies. The school library houses over 1 million volumes and 3,028 GB of e-books and has the Tsinghua Tongfang and Wanfang databases available to visitors. The campus offers a 500 Mbps broadband service that provides a fast campus internet connection. SXPI has various sports facilities including indoor badminton court, table tennis room, outdoor all-weather table tennis table, basketball court, and all-weather sports field with 400 meter running track and soccer field to provide students with physiological and educational training as well as opportunity to improve the physical fitness of students and families living on campus. SXPI has new and state-of-the-art teaching facilities, student dormitories, canteens, student centers, multi-functional academic halls and other facilities.

Another achievement obtained by SXPI is ranking No. 13 among 100 national model higher vocational colleges, Shaanxi Polytechnic Institute is the only college of Shaanxi among the top 15 colleges, which is a great achievement for SXPI as there are more than 1300 higher vocational colleges in China, and 39 universities in Shaanxi (by People Daily and Communication University of China). HVCI focuses on big data on College construction, media reports, owned media, and other media activity. The list nicely shows the overall development of Chinese higher education public opinion, is an important reference for studying higher vocational education in China.

MOU PERTUKARAN MAHASISWA DAN DOSEN INTERNASIONAL DENGAN THAI GLOBAL BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION TECHNOLOGICAL COLLEGE

Jember, 13 Mei 2023 Institut Teknologi dan Sains Mandala (ITSM) serius mengoptimalkan kerjasama luar negeri dengan kembali di tandatangani MoU dengan Thai Global Business Administration Technological College. Penandatangan antara Rektor ITSM Dr. Suwignyo Widagdo, SE, MM, MP dan Direkturnya dari Sekolah Tinggi Teknologi Administrasi Bisnis Global Thailand, Dr. Prattana Srisuk. Hari ini perjanjian kerjasama ini memiliki tujuan yang akan dicapai adalah bersama mengoptimalkan dosen dan mahasiswa asing, pengembangan bersama peningkatan bahasa masing-masing SDM juga optimalisasi keterampilan.

            Lebih lanjut Dr. Suwignyo Widagdo, SE, MM, MP menyampaikan bahwa ada banyak hal secara internasional ITSM bekerja keras agar sumber daya dan program-program berdaya saing internasional karena itu kerjasama digagas. Tidak hanya pertukaran mahasiswa tetapi tentunya penelitian, publikasi dan informasi, pertukaran budaya & Akademik mahasiswa, dosen dan staf dengan juga melindungi dan mengamankan semua pihak yang menjalani program pertukaran mahasiswa

            Dua fakultas ITSM yaitu Fakultas Ekonomi Dan Bisnis dan Fakultas Ekonomi diwakili Dekan Fakultas Ekonomi Dan Bisnis, Dr.Muhammad Firdaus, serta Fakultas Sains, Teknologi dan Industri diwakili Dr.Muhaimin Dimyati, M.Si juga telah bersama-sama bersepakat dengan Direkturnya dari Sekolah Tinggi Teknologi Administrasi Bisnis Global Thailand, Dr. Prattana Srisuk dalam hal ini diwakili Director for international affair Dr. Nico Irawan, SS, M.Pd.

      Saiful Amin, S.E.,M.M. sebagai Kabag. Kerjasama dan Kantor Urusan Internasional (KUI) menjelaskan bahwa arah kerjasama nantinya kedua perguruan tinggi baik ITSM maupun Thai Global Business Administration Technological College akan memberikan kesempatan seluas-luasnya jalan internasional untuk memperoleh pengetahuan praktis, keterampilan, dan sikap yang diinginkan di perusahaan atau organisasi tuan rumah asing. Meningkatkan nilai-nilai kerja, kompetensi, dan disiplin kerja mahasiswa yang berhubungan dengan orang lain dalam lingkungan kerja yang multikultural. Mempromosikan tentang budaya dan lingkungan kerja di berbagai negara. Hal tersebut akan membantu memberikan pengalaman internasional dan lingkungan belajar yang unik dan beragam bagi para mahasiswa.

ITSM MENJALIN KERJASAMA DENGAN BPJS KETENAGAKERJAAN

Jember, 09 Mei 2023 Institut Teknologi dan Sains Mandala (ITSM) kini juga menjalin kerjasama dengan Badan Jaminan Ketenagakerjaan (PBJS) BPJS Ketenagakerjaan (Badan Penyelenggara Jaminan Sosial Ketenagakerjaan), sejak akhir 2019 menggunakan nama panggilan BPJAMSOSTEK. Dalam sambutannya Rektor ITSM Dr. Suwignyo Widagdo, SE, MM, MP menyampaikan bahwa ITSM terus giat berkolaborasi dengan berbagai perusahaan baik perusahaan publik atau perusahaan swasta.

Lebih lanjut beliau menyampaikan bahwa program-program di ITSM sangat sesuai dengan dunia usaha dan program terbaru telah di luncurkan yaitu Recognisi Pembelajaran Lampau (RPL) untuk menjawab persoalan kompetensi yang dimiliki masyarakat yang telah lama bekerja sekarang dapat di konversi dalam memperoleh gelar baik kesarjanaan maupun program master. RPL akan menjadi percepatan karena kuliah tidak lama dengan diakuinya kemampuan sesuai mata kuliah. Pengakuan hasil  belajar yang diperoleh dari , pendidikan nonformal atau informal, pengalaman kerja setelah lulus jenjang pendidikan menengah atau bentuk lain  yang sederajat juga program Studi pada Perguruan Tinggi sebelumnya. Jadi masyarakat yang membutuhkan gelar sedangkan sibuk bekerja namun memiliki kompetensi akan mendapatkan akses yang lebih mudah.

Dadang Komarudin menyampaikan salut karena ITSM telah menjadi Perguruan tinggi pelopor dalam bekerjasama dengan BPJS Ketenagakerjaan sebagai perlindungan terhadap tenaga kerja dan juga mahasiswa dalam kegiatan magang dan KKN. Bapak Dadang Komarudin juga menyampaikan bahwa kerjasama ini akan terus ditingkatkan baik bidang pendidikan, penelitian atau pengabdian masyarakat menjadi partner dalam meningkatkan sumber daya manusia di kedua belah pihak.

ITSM KEMBALI MENANDATANGANI MOU DAN SEMINAR INTERNASIONAL DENGAN PT LUAR NEGERI

Jember, 04 Mei 2023 Instititut Teknologi dan Sains Mandala (ITSM) kembali melaksanakan Penandatangan MoU antara ITS Mandala dengan Sichuan Vocational College of Information Technology-China dan Future Link. Penandatangan MOU ini menambah kerjasama internasional yang telah dimiliki dengan beberapa perguran tinggi luar negeri, antara lain: universitas di China, Thailand, Malaysia, Filipina, Timor Leste, India, Korea, jepang dan Kamboja. Bahkan pada tanggal 5 mei besok kami akan melepas sebanyak 20 mahasiswa untuk mengikuti program doeble degree di Shaanxi Polytechnic Institute, China.

Sesuai Sambutan Rektor Institut Technologi dan Sains Mandala Dr. Suwignyo Widagdo, SE, MM, MP kegiatan ini merupakan salah satu bentuk komitmen kami dalam mewujudkan visi institusi kami yaitu menjadi perguruan tinggi terkemuka di bidang ekonomi, bisnis, sains dan teknologi yang berdaya saing nasional dan internasional. Harapan besar beliau dalam acara ini adalah terjalinnya sinergi positif khususnya University to University (U to U). Selanjutnya beliau juga optimis terjadinya peningkatkan mutu penyelenggaraan pendidikan tinggi, dengan berkoordinasi saling berbagi kekuatan, baik itu sumber daya manusia, system dan tekhnologi informasi dengan berbagai stake holder. Wakil Rektor I Dr. Agustin HP, MM menambahkan Setelah penandatanganan MoU selesai, ada bentuk-bentuk kegiatan yang secara empiris ditindaklanjuti menjadi lebih berkembang karena penambahan perguruan tinggi yang menjalin kerjasama seperti pelaksanaan program Joint Degree/Double Degree, joint research, Joint Publikasi, joint seminar internasional dan lain-lain.

NATIONAL BATTLE OF ACCOUNTING COMPETITION 2023

Kegiatan National Battle Of Accounting Competition 2023 dengan tema “Measure Your Ability In Accounting To Respond Future Challenges” yang diselenggarakan oleh Himpunan Mahasiswa Akuntansi Fakultas Ekonomi dan Bisnis Universitas Buana Perjuangan Karawang pada tanggal 6-7 Mei 2023. Kegiatan tersebut di ikuti kurang lebih 40 peserta dari berbagai perguruan tinggi di Indonesia. Ananda Windy Dwi Aprilia Susanti Merupakan salah satu peserta dalam kegiatan tersebut.
